Marabastad is one of my all time favourite places to shop. People have often asked me why do I go there when its so dirty and dangerous and sometimes smelly and I always say the same thing-Because I love it!
Firstly its not dangerous. I am going there for the last 5 years and I have never felt that my life has been in any danger. People are people. I got robbed more times at Menlyn Mall and I never got robbed at Marabastad. I didn't even get short changed there, but even at Sandton I get short changed sometimes. At the moment I am fighting with a Sandton Store because they didn't put all my items which I had purchased in my packet and I only realised this when I got home. That never happens at Marabastad. No one is there to rob you. You just mind your own business and be on your merry way.
On my last trip to Marabastad I found such a lot a beautiful dresses and accessories I could not believe my luck. Maraba is like this. You can go there and find absilutly nothing nice, and then on another occasion you don't have enough money to buy all the nice things. This was the latter. I just couksnt decide which dress I was taking and which I was leaving behind. There was just so much nice things that day.
One of the nice dresses I bought was this white and gold dress. I love love love the way it sits on me and that the fierce gold neckline with sequins grabs all the attention and no one looks at the other areas I don't want to focus on. The material is also very thick so it doesn't show every lump and bump along the way. This was such an awesome buy.
The shoes are my Steve Madden favourites. I liked these shoes so much I bought them in both black and Gold....lol.
