On the 22 October I attended the Battlehouse Beauty Brunch at The beautiful Maslow Hotel. This was my first time at the Maslow and I must say-the rumours are true. It is indeed a gorgeous venue for almost anything. Its so secluded , you forget the hustle and bustle of Sandton altogether.
This beauty event was a collaboration between Alila Pro Makeup, Fake Bake SA and Beauty Fix, so there was plenty of beauty products around and lots of people to assist.
As I walked in what caught my eye was the beautiful make-up displays on the tables. This was the first time that I have seen actual make-up being used as centre pieces on the tables. This was crazy!! But it just worked so beautifully. The waiters also made sure that our glasses were filled and our side plates were never empty.
The representatives from each branch came and spoke to us about their products which was very interesting, so we got a bit of background information on the brands which was great. I also enjoyed the demonstrations especially with the Alila make up spray. This product is absolutely amazing. What is does is blend your make-up on your face then it gives you a nice fresh glow which lasts for the rest of the day. Its especially great for the summer days when you just feel you need a bit of a spritz!
It was a beautifully done event which was well attended. Thank you to the Hosts for inviting me.
