I strongly believe that we were all created for purpose, the hard thing is discovering exactly what that purpose is. Not all of us are designed to be an iconic Superstars or one of the greatest athletes. Neither will we all be Millionaires or Billionaires one day but that doesn't make our purpose any less than those that have achieved that level of greatness. Neither does it make them better people than we are.
Your purpose is relative to the people which you inspire, you take care of and you advise within your own circle. Not all of us has the answers to all the questions that life throws at us and not all of us have enough courage to do the things we need to do. We all need each other. I am one of those people who need people. I am not always strong enough and brave enough, I am not always independent and I am definitely weak sometimes and need someone to encourage me and to stand by my side, and if it wasn't for the support which I still receive from my friends and family I would be a colossal mess. Man was not created to be by himself.
That is why I believe in Giving Back. Taking the time to be there for someone not because you are better than them but because you have what they need right now, and one day it will be you. Being there for someone doesn't necessarily mean that they are down and out or they depressed or going through a tough time. It can just mean assisting someone do their CV or with a job or taking the time to call them and see how they are doing....It just means making a concerted effort to take the time to make someone else feel loved, letting them know that they are not alone and that you care. It makes the world of difference trust me.
Giving back could also mean giving things to people less fortunate. Such as clothes, food etc. But not everyone can afford that but we all can afford to be kind and give someone our time and attention. That will cost you nothing but will mean so much to the other person.
My Pastors wife once told me : "The more you help others and pray for them, that's when your own problems will disappear. "
