The Basic Two-Piece

Today we are going to discuss the basic two-piece suit.

I thought it need some discussion cause I have seen how people get it so horribly wrong when its one of the easiest suits to wear and will be your most flattering outfit  if worn correctly.

The first step:

1. The fit.
It must fit you. It cannot be tight or loose in certain places. Always try it on before buying (when you can't exchange) and make sure that you are comfortable.

2. The cut. aka the design.
The design of the two piece must flatter your body shape. So if you are well proportioned you can use a slim basic fitted suit. What I mean by well proportioned is that your top and bottom is more or less the same size. If not, try something in which the skirt has a flare at the bottom, which will flatter your figure. The coat must always be a slim fit. The coat of the two-piece can never be baggy or hang over the skirt too much. It must sit just over the waistline of the skirt.

3. Pantihose is a must
There is just something that a good pantyhose does to a suit. To complete the look wear a pantyhose which matches the suit. If you are unsure of which colour to use go for black or your skin colour and see which one works best.

4. Heels
There is nothing like a nice pointie to round off the look of a suit. The heel size is optional according to your preference but a heel is necessary when wearing a suit. Wearing flats always plays down the look you are trying to create.

5. Accessories
Simple stud earrings always gives off a more elegant, well-kept look rather than earrings which hang. Remember the look you going for is timeless and classy. So keep jewellery to a minimal.

6. Hair
Its always best to put your hair up when creating this look rather than loose. You will immediately see the difference.

Hope you enjoyed the tips and will use them.
