Beauty Post: Skincare

Once upon a time long long ago I went for a Beauty Seminar about general grooming and colour co-ordination, which was so boring I could not wait to get home and sleep. But the one thing I remembered from that half day workshop is when the Speaker said

-"don't ever go cheap when you buy products for your face. You will regret it when you get older."

To me it made perfect sense because your face is your first point of contact with the world, when people talk to you, interact with you, work with you or for you, they look at your face. Your face is all you have to represent yourself. Yah sure, personality is also important, but people usually sum you up before you even open your mouth, by your face. The trick about it as well, is that it has to last. I mean, you want it to look as good as possible for as long as possible. So in order to do that, you will have to make sure you use suitable products which will sustain and nourish it so it will look better for longer.

I am not talking about eternal youth here, I'm just talking about self-preservation. However much you might think its vain to be conscience of the appearance of your face, it is a reality. We all grow old and we all are faced with the natural consequence of our face not looking as good as it used to look. When I talk about your face not looking as good as it used to look, I'm talking about the visible signs of ageing, such as fine lines, wrinkles and visible sagging of your skin. There are many deterrents for these symptoms, but like they say-Prevention is better than cure-we should start early and make us ourselves knowledgeable on the basic facts leading to this. And one of these facts are that you need to have a basic skincare routine, you need to look after your face.

Today I am going to share with you what I use.

After months and months of going through a brand list of different products I have now settled and made a home with Environ. When I made the choice to use Environ I first had to go for Face Mapping, that is where they inspect your skin in order to choose the correct range of products for your skin type.

I have extremely dry skin so at the beginning of my journey with Environ, I wasn't entirely happy because my face was still dry and a bit red on the cheeks. However, I was told that it would take time to adjust to my skin and it did. A month later and all the redness was gone and it was looking healthier and well nourished. The texture of my skin is also a lot better and softer. You can visibly see the difference.

With Environ all you need is the following:
1. Day Cream
2. Night Cream
3.Toner
4. Face wash

The sunscreen is also available but I love the Avon sunscreen so I use it on top of my day cream. The Cost?  Because Environ is such an internationally known brand and has won so many awards and accolades a mile long, I was prepared to break the bank, but it didn't. All the products that I mentioned above came to around R1300, and I am now on my third month and I still have enough product left for another month or so. So its not only a brand of note but its also fantastic value for money.

The story of Environ is absolutely amazing and is such a terrific read. You can go to www.environ.co.za and click on Brand then Brand History. It was developed by
Dr. Fernandes who helped Dr Barnard with the first heart transplant. How he went from heart transplant to skin care you going to have to read for yourselves. Also keep some tissues handy! lol

Environ is available at all Perfect 10 stores (that's where I get mine) and most Salons. But if you are in a pickle, you can also go to their website and click on Environ Stockists and they offer you a list there for the area you reside in.

I hope you found this beauty review informative.

happy Fashion!!
