Angel's Closet : God gives

Do you ever wonder what the key to success is? Why is it that some people just enjoy more of life's glorious fruits than others? And I'm not just talking financially but there are people who enjoy so much favour in general. They are the ones getting the nice fancy jobs, driving the expensive cars and staying in double story mansions. When you look from the outside everything is like a perfect fairy tale, and you wonder....Where did I go wrong? What's wrong with me?

One of the days I was privy to a discussion regarding success and what its based on. Is it really an accumulation of hard work? or an influx of great opportunities over the years, or could it be luck? Is there something such as "lucky". I don't think it could be hard work cause then labourers would be the richest people around yet they are the poorest. It is said that a builder who builds big beautiful houses for other people to live in, for some reason never has his own house. So there goes that theory. But then again, if you don't know how to manage money, you wont know how to enable yourself.

Is success a result of prayer? I'm a firm believer that no prayer goes unanswered. God may not always give you what you want. But He does give you what you need. So as much as you pray you also need to work towards a goal to get your prayers answered. Prayer without work is meaningless.

In the Bible God tells us not to covet your neighbours house, wife or live stock. It is a sin. God said that because He knew we wouldn't understand the process of success. He knew the ugly face of jealousy and envy and how much problems it could cause not just with our "neighbours", but the turmoil inside yourself. You see, you are exactly where God wants you to be in life. Your struggles, hardships and labour did not go in vain. It might not where you want to be, but be patient, you not dead yet, which only means God is still working on you.

God cant make you the CEO if you have no management experience. He can't give you a good man when you still have issues to sort out within yourself and He cant make you a millionaire if you cant manage money. Cause when God gives-no one can take it away. He wants to make sure that you keep it and you can handle the responsibility and you wont be out of your depth. You are never a final product until you die, until then you are always a work in progress, remember that.

So in the meantime, be grateful for what you have because you are successful. You the only one who knows what you had to go through to get to where you are today. Don't compare yourself to others and bring yourself down. You are exactly where you are supposed to be.
