My kids birthdays are 3 weeks apart. Cruzi Bears birthday is on the 12 of January and my Pudding has hers on the 05th of February, so I kind of started his tradition of celebrating their birthdays on the same day!! Its also super cost effective as opposed to having TWO parties in a space of three weeks and its like one and done for the rest of the year. And if there's one thing I love its planning parties! For me its the most exciting thing ever. It really speaks to me.
You can take a peep at last years party pics here-http://www.angelscloset16.blogspot.com/2014/02/beach-party.html
This year I decided to go with a Mickey and Minnie Mouse theme because its something you can do for boys and girls. Its very hard to find themes which work for both and I'm slowly running out of ideas. Luckily an old friend helped me out with this idea and it was awesome. Thanks Sersh!! It took me all but two days to put the décor together. The hardest thing really was cutting out all of the logos...then it was just to stick them on all the items and wah-lah!! The spotted décor is everywhere, so take your time to shop around for the best prices. Because I was in a hurry I just bought it at the China shop around the corner from where I work, but I soon found out I could have got it much much cheaper than I did a few km's up the road. But oh well??
For the party packs this year I decided to treat the kids, and give them goldfish in a little fish tank which I found as Osboros. It sounds extravagant but its not, each party pack cost me around R25. I also put in some fish food as well for them to take home in little packets, then I put all this into a spotted box. In a separate packet I put all the usual sweets. You cannot go to a party and leave without sweets....lol.
My puddings birthday cake tower was made by my good friend Debbie, along with the cupcakes. She is absolutely brilliant all I did was send her a picture of the theme and she put this together. Its like she read my mind. The cupcakes are just as awesome with the little Minnie ears. She really outdid herself. Debbie does cakes for all occasions and is currently doing some valentines cupcakes. So if you interested you can give her a call on 073 573 3346.
Cruzi's ice-cream cake I ordered from Milky Lane. It was absolutely delicious. The thing to remember with an ice-cream cake is to always order the smallest one. Its really so much at least 50 people could eat a 23cm. Plus kids don't want to eat too much at a party...they would rather play, so the cake just melts away....and there goes your money with it. And no I'm not going to eat it. I'm still trying to loose weight from the holidays and its almost holidays again?? Oh noooooooo
Anyway, I think my party skills are getting better with each year and I cant wait for next year to come so I can do it all over again!! Thank you to everyone who helped out and Thank you to God for my two amazing kids, without you mummy would have no parties to plan for!! lol
Enjoy the pictures.
