Birthday Wishes...

On the 16th of January I celebrated my 34th birthday! It was rather quiet because I was fasting so I just went out for Dinner at The Raj (the sell amazing veggie dishes) and a Movie. We watched Taken 3-Excellent movie. I prefer number 3 to number 2...but anyway...I had an awesome day nonetheless.

It was so nice catching up with friends over the phone and whatsapp-its amazing how you can just reconnect with people when you haven't even spoken to in years, now that's called friendship! For Better or for worse. I was just feeling so much love on my birthday it was super awesome to know that people actually care and love me!! *blush*blush*

Another thing I also noticed is how people kept saying that I'm  21 again and telling me I look like I'm still 21 although I'm getting older. I know its meant as a compliment and they were not trying to be rude or offensive in any way, but it just made me think- Gone are the days when we still want to be our younger selves. Did you know me when I was 21? I was a wreck!!!! I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life, I was all over the place-for goodness sake I didn't even have a DIARY!!! Don't all gasp at once please?

What I am trying to say is that nowadays woman are not afraid of their age anymore. The fact that I am getting older does not scare me in the least. I feel that with each new year we grow, we mature, we develop skills and learn new things about ourselves that we never knew we were capable of, we find new friends or friendship in people we knew all along. And we only do these things with time. I may not have my youthful appearance anymore, or may hair may not be as full and curly, and I certainly do not have my fit body, but I have so much more that I can be proud of, other than the vanities of life.

So woman, don't shy away from birthdays and most of all from your age. Its your age that has made you the gorgeous, graceful, ambitious and loving person that you are!!

Back to the fashion-
Today I am wearing a poof dress from YDE. The Halter top is from Truworths, shoes from Legit, earrings from Mr Price and the gorgeous bag from Forever New.
As you can see I am still taking my own advice and hiding the holiday kilos quite nicely. I lost 2kgs last week and this week I am hoping for another 2kg's, before I can fit into my usual attire.lol.

Hope you enjoy the look!
Happy Fashion!!
