At the beginning of he year I was really going through a rough patch both personally and professionally. Everything was just not going my way and I felt so overwhelmed by the magnitude of my problems that I started feeling depressed and I just didn't want to push or try harder or do all the things I normally do when faced with adversity.
The one day while looking for answers in my book of spells, commonly called the Bible. I read one of TD Jakes verses and it said...YOU DIDN'T DIE! He went on to say that even if your husband left you. You didn't die. Even if you lost your job. You didn't die. Even if your mother loves your sister more...you didn't die. So thank the Lord everyday because the miracle in that is that there are actually people laying on their death beds as we speak...waiting to die. And here we are with problems and we want to act like we dead. Problems don't kill you. It makes you stronger and wiser and eventually you will get through it. Maybe not today. Maybe not next month even. But you will get through it. The thing about joy and sorrow is that both of them don't last forever. So when you happy. Enjoy it. And when you sad. Learn the lesson.
I always remind myself of that verse whenever I am sad. I didn't die! Maybe my boss was mean to me today. I didn't die....
Today I'm wearing Truworths again. I am really enjoying them lately. The blazer and top are both from Truworths. The jeans and shoes are from Sissy Boy and the bag is from Baby Phat.
