Can you believe another year just flew passed? It still feels like just the other day when I started the blog and now we are here...nearing the end of November. Very soon we will all the Christmas shopping lol.
Christmas is my favourite season. Not just because it gives a fantastic reason to shop but also because it's the time of the year that families come together and spend time together. I love being around family and friends. But on the other side. Christmas is also one of the main reasons people fall into debt. Because there is just so much to do and to buy and everything is on special you just keep on swipeping that credit card.
Well today I'm going to give you some useful tips on how to budget this season.
1. Firstly Make a list of people you need to get gifts for before you go shopping
2. Next to their names allocate an amount. Example. Angel =R100. That will be the amount that you will spend on a gift for that person . Keep in mind that during Christmas most people do not expect extravagant gifts because they know that you have to buy so many gifts . 3. Be thoughtful when choosing your gift. That way you will save money.
4. Now copy this list onto your phone under memos so whenever you go shopping it's nearby.
5. Allocate a budget when going out. Because there are so many parties during December you cannot go wild at every single one of them. So set a limit which you can afford to spend on drinks and food per event and stick to it.
6. Give yourself a clothing allowance. Set an amount for the clothing you can buy.
7. And lastly. Make sure you have an emergency fund. December is always so unpredictable. Be prepared for anything. So have money put away in savings or on your credit card which you know you can use if your car breaks down. If you need to tow it. If you left stranded on a beach in the middle of nowhere....anything can happen. Be prepared.
Anyway i hope you enjoyed my budget tips...now onto the clothes for today.
This was my Saturday outfit when i was out and about in Menlyn. The top i won with Skip it's from Mango. The boyfriend jeans are from Jet stores and the shoes are from Sissy Boy. I am usually not good at going casual. My style is mostly bling and glam. But I think I pulled off this style quite nicely. It has a bit of a Victoria Beckham look to it....or am I pushing it? Lol.
Hope you enjoy the look
Happy Fashion!
