Being a regular shopper and mall rat I am well aware that whenever I enter a shop or restaurant that I shouldn't expect the best service at all. I am so sorry to generalise because I know there are shop assistants who do take their job very seriously and give incredible service but they are so far in between at the malls I frequent I know them by name.lol. and I'm bad with names....lol.
Last Friday we went out for some evening shopping to our usual hideout Menlyn Mall.The first retail store we went to which houses the most exclusive and expensive clothes their service was non - existent. There was noone on the floor to assist which is horrible when you looking for sizes and then when I eventually found someone....The attitude? It was as if he was doing us a favour and this is not his job. I was so upset. Don't you find that if you recieve good service you shop more than when the service is terrible no matter how nice the clothes are? This is how I felt. I didn't care how nice those clothes were I just wanted to get out of that store and run!!
Well my woes did not end there. After that we went to Piatto for supper. We ordered. The food came and it was over done and cold. We complained and then we were asked to leave because we complained about the food. Where in the world have you ever heard about that? To tell you the truth I was not surprised. Because firstly the shop was practically empty so I was suspicious already when I entered and secondly the service was shoddy so I knew problems were brewing...
I would like to say that this was just a spate of bad luck but alas not. This is a regular occurrence which I have just learnt to live with and go on with my life. I know when I go back to Menlyn it will be the same but I have made peace with it. It's just that every now and then you hope things would be different...
The clothes...
Yesterday I wore a white YSL top with leather leggings. The shoes are from Forever 21. The glasses are from Mr Price. The top and the hand chain are available on request. The leggings are from YDE. I hope you enjoyed the look.
