I know weight gain is a common reality for so many of us and it's something that I also battle with on a daily basis. Because I am on chronic medication I have to work extra hard to keep the kilos off and that means exercising twice a day. Morning and evening. Who in God's green earth can keep that up? I am no Beyoncé. So I decided to embrace my new curves and not stress too much about it. Then you try to fit into one of your suits and it won't close and there you are laying in a heap of tears again. ...
And that's how today's look came about. I actually took out a white linen suit to wear with this bodysuit and it wouldn't close at the top and it was extremely tight to the point where I was sure when I sit down its going to tear. It's in those moments that your self esteem takes a dive and and you utter those words... OMG I'm so fat!!! And it's not about what will people think or will my other half love me. It's just about you and how you feel about yourself at that moment. Over the last couple of months I've had a few of those moments. At first it made me horribly depressed to the point when I stopped taking my meds just to be thin again then I got horribly ill. And I thought to myself is this worth it?
That's when I knew I needed to change my mindset. My attitude. Or else I will just keep going through the same cycle of self destruction again and again. So what did I do this time when that dumb linen suit which obviously shrunk in the wash didn't fit? I found something that did fit. My black skirt!!! And that should be your attitude ....change clothes! Don't wallow in self pity. Don't badger or torment yourself or state the obvious. For what? Just change clothes. And keep on changing till you find something that you feel good in. Cause for me the purpose of clothes is to feel good in them. And if you don't you obviously wearing the wrong outfit.
