Last night I was fortunate enough to attend the opening of the SAFW at the Crown Plaza in Rosebank.
First of all let me say...This hotel is super stunning. I have stayed and seen a lot of hotels but the design, the layout, the setting is just so perfect! The outside does look a bit tacky though but inside....its the bomb dot com.
So I arrived at the hotel and was then escorted for a free drink before the bell went off which means the show is about to start.
The crowd was so beautifully dressed. There was no particular trend. Like I didn't want to wear a jump suit cause I thought everyone would be wearing one only to find that I only saw two people with jumpsuits on. So there really wasn't a trend at all. Everyone came with their own style and glamour.
The show featured new up and coming designers who entered their designs to win some cash to expand their label and a car. ..imagine...To use for the year!
The winner was the designers called WAKE. I didn't care too much for their collection. They had some nice stuff but nothing I haven't seen in stores already.
The designer that caught my eye was Angelo Sebastian. His work is amazing and I would definately look out for him he is a rising star! You heard it hear first !! I put up some pics of his work.
So that was my evening of glitter and glamour...
