Lately I am loving these new formal shorts. They look fabulous with shirts and now I even managed to find a suit.
This suit I bought at Yde. It's a navy blue two piece. It's a loose fit which is great cause it would not look too presentable if I pitched up at work in a tight shorts and a jacket. So the loose fit makes it presentable enough to wear for work but still a little bit of sexy and fab.
If your shorts do not look like hot pants, then it's fine for work. Also important is to complement the shorts with pantihose. A nice sheer pantihose with minimum shine is perfect for work. It makes your legs look toned and longer. And it also doesn't make you look too naked and it gives a very professional sophisticated look.
When choosing a top for the shorts also go for something minimal. So a plain coat or shirt. Easy on the cleavage. I have this rule which a read a while ago. You can't show all your assets at once. So if you are showing legs. No cleavage. If it's cleavage. No legs. And it works for me. It also ensures that you never over done. It's your own yard stick. Cause sometimes I know we ask: is this too much? Is it appropriate? Well see if it helps you too.
