School holidays part 1

So the school holidays came and went and luckily I survived.... not without help from a few of my favourite places!

Because I did not take leave for the school holidays, outings were restricted to weekends, so the first weekend I took the kids to a movie at Menlyn mall.

Gosh we watched the Lego movie, the one that is supposed to make you satanic. .. I can assure you me and the kids watched it and still went to church on Sunday. I rather hate it when people who have nothing to do make up stories about something as innocent as a kiddies movie. Kids look forward to these movies and some adult comes and makes it into something it's not. Not that I enjoyed the movie, it was horrible and horribly long as well. I  could not wait for those credits to roll.

Then on Sunday after church it was off to Zwartskop race course for some quad bike racing.  I actually bought a groupon for the kids which was super cheap compared to the actual price. Its actually a very nice set up. They have their own race track which has people walking around in case something happens with the kids. So they basically drive laps around the race course until their pegs run out. For each lap you paid for you get a peg and when you pass the finish line they remove a peg so you know how many laps you have left over. Neat hey?

They also give you hair nets to put under your helmet for hygenic reasons.  And when the kids finish the laps they get a party pack. It has the basic chips, sweets and a kit kat in it. That groupon was really a good buy.  I wish I had bought more.

They also have a huge play area with a trampoline and play area. When the kids laps ran out they went and played there. Had the weather not been so bad they would have played there the entire day.

They had a fantastic time!
