Hope you all had a good weekend. It rained the whole weekend and the whole week last week and the rain shows no signs of slowing down , it's still pouring down like crazy ! Even Gareth Cliff (5fm mornings) has threatened to build an ark and load us in two by two. Lol, he's a man with a plan at least. My biggest fear is that after this rain it's winter and I'm not ready for winter yet. Crying .....
For today I thought if might be insightful to give you a guided tour of my day. I love my routine so this is me everyday! Unless I'm traveling ... I get up in the mornings at 4;30am. Honestly I'm a morning person . I'm most productive and most energetic in the mornings. I do my prayers, I must give thanks to God, then I run downstairs to do my session of Taebo at 5:00.
I used to do Zumba but I got so used to it I got bored with it. Now I started Taebo which is amazing cause it just tones you better and you see results much faster. You Also have to invest less time than Zumba. I only do a 10-15 minute workout a day ! It's just that strenuous. If I did a 30 min workout I'd be having a six pack . But I do it 5 days a week so I think it just averages out.
When I'm done with Taebo that's when I go to the kitchen and make the lunches for school. I have a menu where I write what I make everyday then I buy according to that list , not only does it save me time it saves me money! Cause now nothing goes to waste and the lunch calendar is discussed with the kids so they know what's coming! It's only when they naughty that I put peanut butter and call it punishment ! Then they know I'm mad!
After I'm done with the lunches I go and check what to wear. I used to take out my clothes the night before , but with this erratic weather, cannot do ! So I take it out in the morning. I am very organized do I colour code my clothes and shoes so I can find stuff, it just makes it easier.
Then it's time to wake the kids, that's at 5:55am, after I do that I cannot account for the next hour it just flies by!!!
At 6:55 am , I take pictures every morning at home , it's just easier cause at work I get busy and the pics I take is with my phone. It's usually Anna, my nanny/photographer that takes it or my daughter!
And after my photoshoot, off to school. This is the favorite part of my morning . Dropping the kids off at school. We laugh, we listen to 5fm and we talk. I also walk them to their class rooms, I just love being mummy! Best ever.
Then I'm off to work. See what happened today? How did he do that?
I work in town at the Union Buildings. The first time I came here was for the interview , I took so many pictures my memory card got full. I think 4 years on, it's like my second home, it's lost it's statue! But it's a magnificent building.
This is the entrance I use when I come in. It's the back entrance.
And this is my desk.... Where the magic happens! I sit in the East wing of the union buildings. We don't have a lot of space so we all have to share offices , which I love cause I like to talk , so there are plenty of people around me to talk to!
Well I think that's enough for today ...
Today I wore a white coat from Yde and a black and white dress from Mr Price. The shoes are from PQs, and the nails I did myself .
