All roads lead to Mafikeng ....

I work in the Local govt unit of The Presidency:DPME , And what we do is assess the management practices of municipalities using a special tool, so we travel a lot .Yesterday our unit had to start our 2 day moderation training in Mafikeng! Mafikeng is a good four hour drive from Pretoria so we were exhausted from the drive only to find that the hotel we booked at was sub-standard!

It has stains on the carpets, the linen is dusty, the breakfast terrible and no filter coffee. Since Treasury started with their cost cutting measures in govt , things have been very bad. Our usual hotels refuse to accept the R1300 all inclusive ...sob sob

But we had to make the best of a bad situation and that's what we did! We kicked butt in the training session and treated ourselves at Ocean Basket in the evening!

For the first day, because I was presenting, I wore a suit. This one I bought from Mr Price. The fit is so relaxed yet formal and the print is just amazing . Black and white prints and stripes are just so in this season, and you can't escape it. I paired it with a black and white shirt from Legit, I don't know if you remember that shirt from last week I wore it with tights? It's just an all round buy! The shoes are from PQs. When matching black and white I know most people prefer black shoes ? Black bag? But white is also an excellent partner so try that next time. White is your friend !
